You already know a lot about why you do what you do.

The harder part is changing what happens when the moment comes.

You may know exactly why you have a hard time saying no. You know where the people-pleasing came from. You can recognize the overthinking, the guilt, and the part of you that starts questioning everything the minute someone else is unhappy.

And then the moment comes, and there you are doing the thing you promised yourself you weren’t going to do again.

Understanding yourself matters. But you don’t need to understand yourself harder.

Sometimes you need a place to actually work with what you already know.

YOU CAN KNOW BETTER AND STILL GET PULLED BACK INTO IT.

You may not walk around thinking about your childhood every day. But you might notice how quickly you question yourself when someone is upset with you, how hard it is to say no without explaining why, or how much time you spend replaying a conversation that everyone else has probably already forgotten.

Maybe you can understand exactly why someone behaves the way they do while still blaming yourself for how their behavior affects you. Or you know a relationship isn’t good for you, but setting a boundary feels somehow worse than staying uncomfortable.

That gap between what you know and what happens in the moment is where a lot of our work can happen.

WE’RE GOING TO DO MORE THAN TALK ABOUT IT.

Talking matters. Sometimes saying something out loud to another person is exactly what needs to happen.

But I’ve spent years building a toolbox for the times when talking about something isn’t enough. Depending on you and what we’re working with, that might include parts work, hypnotherapy, expressive or experiential work, sand tray, or interventions informed by my advanced training and extensive clinical experience with EMDR.

We might slow down a moment that happened three days ago and look at what actually happened inside you. We might work with the part of you that desperately wants to set the boundary and the part that’s terrified of what will happen if you do. We might practice the conversation instead of spending another session talking about why the conversation is hard.

There isn’t one way we’re supposed to do this. We figure out what helps you work with the thing that’s actually in front of us.

WHAT ARE WE ACTUALLY WORKING TOWARD?

I want you to be able to notice the room without disappearing into it.

To know someone is disappointed without automatically deciding you’ve done something wrong. To recognize what you need before you’re already exhausted, resentful, or checked out. To say no without spending the rest of the day building a legal defense for it in your head.

I want there to be more room for your anger without having to become mean, more room for your needs without immediately apologizing for them, and more room for you to trust what you know about your own experience.

Not perfectly. Not every time.

But enough that your life starts making more room for you too.
