Helping women create lasting change through therapy intensives, nervous system healing, and emotional clarity.

You Are For™ is more than a message. It’s a reminder that healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to who you’ve always been.

YOU ARE FOR

You Are Forâ„¢ is a therapeutic space for deep repair, nervous system healing, and emotional clarity.

Traditional therapy can sometimes feel slow, scattered, or hard to sustain between sessions.

Therapy intensives create focused space for deeper healing and lasting change in a shorter period of time.

Instead of one hour a week, we spend 1, 2, or 3 immersive days helping you understand patterns, regulate your nervous system, process emotional wounds, and reconnect with yourself.

Therapy Intensives for When One Hour Isn't Enough

Private 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day therapy intensives in Fort Smith, Arkansas for women ready for deeper healing than traditional weekly therapy can sometimes provide.

How Therapy Intensives Work

  1. Consultation:

    • We explore your goals and determine if an intensive is the right fit.

  2. Preparation:

    • You'll complete intake paperwork and receive preparation guidance.

  3. Intensive Experience:

    • One, two, or three days of focused healing work.

  4. Integration:

    • Follow-up support helps bridge the work into everyday life.

After years of walking with people through trauma and transformation, I realized that insight alone doesn’t create change.

Sometimes we walk around with a head full of knowledge but a body full of fear. TRUE healing begins when the nervous system feels safe enough to LIVE differently. When what we know finally becomes what we feel.

Our minds aren’t wired for success; they’re wired for survival. They learned to protect us in whatever environment we grew up in, healthy or not. But when safety turns into overprotection, we stop truly living.

You Are Forâ„¢ exists to help you bridge that gap. To move from survival to alignment, from self-abandonment to self-connection, from performance to peace.

Why choose an intensive?

Traditional Weekly Therapy

  • 50–60 minute sessions

  • Time spent catching up each week

  • Progress unfolds gradually over time

  • Life responsibilities can interrupt momentum

  • Ongoing support and growth

  • Weekly schedule commitment

  • Space to explore challenges as they arise

Intensive Therapy

  • 1, 2, or 3 focused days

  • Dedicated time to stay with the work

  • Concentrated space for deeper exploration

  • Protected time away from daily demands

  • Focused work on a specific goal or pattern

  • One-time immersive experience with follow-up support

  • Opportunity to build momentum without stopping and restarting

Neither approach is better. They are simply different. Many clients choose an intensive when they feel stuck, want focused support, or are ready to dedicate concentrated time to their healing journey.

HI, I’M MELANIE

I DON’T FIX PEOPLE.

I help them remember who they are.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), Certified Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist, EMDR-trained trauma therapist, and continuing education provider with more than 20 years of experience helping people move from survival into deeper connection with themselves and others.

But more than that, I’m someone who has lived this work.

Every part of You Are Forâ„¢ was born from something I had to heal, rebuild, or remember in myself. I know what it feels like to lose your sense of self, and how powerful it is to finally come home to it.

My approach blends clinical depth and human warmth: grounded in neuroscience, expressed through creativity, and rooted in compassion. Through therapy intensives, EMDR, hypnotherapy, expressive arts, and experiential approaches, I help clients move beyond insight and into meaningful change.

Clients often tell me they feel safe, seen, and deeply understood here because that's where real change begins.

HEALING HERE LOOKS LIKE REMEMBERING

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if a therapy intensive is right for me?

Therapy intensives are often a good fit for people who feel stuck, want deeper healing than weekly sessions can provide, or are looking for focused support around a specific issue. We'll discuss your goals during a consultation to determine if an intensive is the right fit.

Do I need to stop seeing my current therapist?

No. Many clients continue working with their therapist before and after an intensive. Intensives can complement ongoing therapy and may help create momentum in areas where you feel stuck.

What happens before the intensive?

We'll begin with a consultation and intake process to understand your history, goals, and needs. You'll receive guidance to help you prepare so we can make the most of our time together.

What happens after the intensive?

Every intensive includes follow-up support designed to help you integrate what you've learned and apply it to daily life. Depending on your needs, this may include follow-up sessions, recommendations for continued support, and collaboration with your current therapist when appropriate.

The goal isn't just insight. The goal is lasting change.

Do I need to live in Arkansas?

No. Many clients travel to Fort Smith specifically for their intensive experience.

The Fort Smith Regional Airport (FSM) is located just minutes from the office, and there are several nearby hotel and Airbnb options available.

During your consultation, we'll help you determine the best schedule and provide recommendations to make planning as simple as possible.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plan options may be available depending on the intensive selected. I also accept CareCredit, which many clients use to spread the cost of their intensive over time.

If cost is a concern, we can discuss available payment options during your consultation.

Can I expect immediate results?

Every person's experience is different. While many clients leave with greater clarity, relief, and momentum, healing is a process. An intensive can create meaningful movement in a short period of time, but lasting change comes through continued integration and support.

What can I expect to gain?

While every person's journey is unique, clients often leave with:

  • Greater clarity about long-standing patterns

  • Relief from feeling emotionally stuck

  • Increased self-understanding

  • Greater connection to themselves and others

  • A clearer path forward

While no therapist can guarantee specific outcomes, my commitment is that you will leave with greater clarity, a deeper understanding of your patterns, and a personalized path forward.

What clients are saying

"For the first time, I didn't feel rushed. We were able to stay with what mattered instead of stopping just as something important surfaced. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to myself."

  • Cient in her 40s, 2-Day Intensive

"I was nervous about dedicating an entire day to myself, but it ended up being one of the best investments I've made. The work continued unfolding long after the intensive was over."

  • Weekly Therapy Client, 1-Day Intensive

“Don’t walk…RUN!! This was the BEST and most BEAUTIFUL experience I could have ever given myself!!!! My life is forever changed!!

  • EMDR Client, 3-Day Intensive

YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT TO BEGIN.

You only need to be willing to meet yourself where you are.

In this space, we slow down. We listen inward.

What matters most to me is that You Are Forâ„¢ never becomes another place of pressure or performance. This is a space of permission. Where people can breathe again and remember their worth.

You will leave with clarity, practices for regulation, and the quiet confidence that comes from being on your own side again.

Clients often say they feel safe here. Safe to tell the truth, to breathe again, and to believe that softness is strength.

You Are For True

FROM THE PAGES OF:

Before You Are Forâ„¢ became a space, it was a sentence, a whisper that said, you are not made to be against yourself.

That whisper became my first book, You Are For True, a written reflection on what it means to stop surviving and start remembering who you are.

It’s a companion for anyone learning to live from truth instead of trauma. A gentle guide back to the self you’ve always been.

IF YOU ARE TIRED OF SURVIVING, READY TO LIVE IN ALIGNMENT, AND CRAVING PEACE THAT LASTS.

You Belong Here.

Take a breath.

Say yes to yourself.

Begin your return.
